Project K Racing has partnered with Kal-Gard Lubricants for the 2010 race season. The team will be on hand at the Indianapolis Dealer Show, February 12-15th to promote the product line that was a main stay in the motorcycle world in the ‘80’s and early ‘90’s.

One of the most fluid riders on the track is returning to the AMA Pro Flat Track Championship. After posting the fastest qualifying time at round two of the 2009 series and earning some impressive finishes in his rookie year, Scott Powersports/DR.D/Pit Posse’s Johnny Lewis tore his ACL at a supermoto race in May sidelining him for several months. Riding Into History, one of America’s premier motorcycle events, will return to the World Golf Village near St. Augustine, Florida on Saturday, May 15, 2010. Famed author and motorcycle traveler Clement Salvadori will be the Grand Marshal. The event will feature Charity Rides, a Concours d’Elegance, the Biker’s Ball and the Historic Ride. Nine time World Champion Valentino Rossi will commence a two-day test in a Ferrari F1 car at Montmeló this Wednesday, January 20.  The test will be conducted in a Ferrari F2008 equipped with GP2 slicks, and from tomorrow afternoon motogp.com will have exclusive images of the Fiat Yamaha rider in action. This will be the sixth time Rossi will have been at the wheel of a Ferrari F1 car, having first driven one in 2004.

Three Time Grand National Champion and the "King of Cool", Kenny Coolbeth will support the number 2 on his race machines for both singles and the twins series for 2010 season.  Normally, Kenny would have to choose a new number for the twins, however the latest rule change will dictate same number for both classes.

James “the Rocket” Rispoli is pleased to announce sponsorship support from Spectro Performance Oils for the 2010 season.  The young gun from Attica, NY turned pro in 2009 and finished 2nd overall in the inaugural AMA Pro Singles Flattrack Championship
Bryan Smith, formerly of the Screaming Eagle Harley team, has agreed to race Kawasakis in the 2010 Grand National Flat Track circuit in both the Expert Singles and Expert Twins classes.

After traditionally being staged at Daytona Beach Municipal Stadium, the AMA Pro Racing Flat Track events have a new home beginning in 2010 on a quarter-mile lime rock dirt track located in the West Lot outside of Turns 1 and 2.

We have all been very busy trying to re group for the 2010 racing season. Our first 2010 series schedule is almost complete. We have confirmed 6 out of 8 race dates starting on January 9th thru June 12th with a break before and after bike week. We had one more race to complete the California ICE race swing. This time it was in Ontario, California, actually very close to Pomona where I clinched the Twins National Championship Title this Fall. I stayed out all week with my friends Gene and Gail Cummings and was able to hang out with some other friends, see some sponsors and what not. I have never seen it rain in California, but towards the end of the week it rained for a total of 48 hours, fairly hard.  Read more...

This was my first time coming to California for an indoor ice race. I race Bakersfield every year in September for Eddie Mulders’ series when it does not conflict with a GNC race. A few weeks ago I had a check up at my sports doctor in Lancaster and was given some really good news.  It seems that all of my fractures and breaks have completely healed.  I have been officially released to do anything at the gym, pain restricting.  Also I have been given permission to hop back on to a motorcycle to ride very casual.. PJ Jacobsen had his debut at New Jersey Motorsports Park this year competing in the AMA Supersport Class. PJ took pole position but had an unfortunate false start which demolished his odds of winning in his first outing with the AMA. It has been confirmed that Harley-Davidson Motor Company will not be renewing contracts with the dealers associated with the Flat Track Wrecking Crew.  These dealers include Moroney's Harley-Davidson who most recently showcased Bryan Smith on their machines and in the past featured flat track greats like Will Davis, Davey Camlin. Mike Hacker and Jake Johnson; Blue Springs Harley-Davidson who featured Jared Mees and Latus Harley-Davidson long time sponsor of Joe Kopp.

A large portion of the 34TH ANNUAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP  ICE RACING SERIES will be contested on the West Coast. According to ICE/International Championship Events’ CEO & Founder Gary Densford; “We’ve wanted a strong presence out West for quite some time.  This year all the pieces to the scheduling puzzle fell into place. PJ Jacobsen raced in the CEV championship series this year in Spain.  He finished his last race in Valencia with a podium (3rd place) and overall sailed into 5th.  We are so proud.. Congrats PJ.

Today I had the distinct pleasure in chatting with Canadian racer Michael Labelle who recently has joined Weirbach Racing for the AMA Pro Singles in 2010. While most of my interviews are composed of the leading riders on the circuit; I feel this interview’s purpose is to bring some light to those who are coming up and have attainable goals in winning their championships.  Read complete interview here...
PJ Jacobsen is finishing up his series in Spain his last race is this weekend.  Last weekend he qualified well and started the race off pretty good until the last few laps where another rider crashed out and Jacobsen went down as well.  We hope his minor injuries heal and that the last race slated for the 22nd fairs well on Jacobsen with a most deserving win.
The 34th Annual ICE World Championships round one went to newly crowned flat track champion jared Mees.  Tom McGrane Jr. took  second and Jeremy DuRyter rounded out the podium in third.  Front line was Schnabel, Mark Cheza, Mees, McGrane.  Schnabel was taken out with three laps to go... if you have your side of the story.. email us and will post.
